略歴
1964年静岡生まれ。
1990年10月大阪大学大学院基礎工学研究科情報工学専攻博士後期課程を中退し、
大阪大学情報処理教育センター・助手として着任。
1992年10月奈良先端科学技術大学院大学情報科学センター・助教授。
1993年 4月より、同大学情報科学研究科・助教授。
2000年 4月より、同大学情報科学研究科・教授。
大規模分散処理環境構築、ネットワークセキュリティなどの研究を行なう。
また、WIDE Project のメンバーとして、
広域コンピュータネットワークの構築・研究に従事する。
UNIX システムを研究開発のプラットフォームとして使い、
UNIX Magazine に「UNIX Communication Notes」 を連載。
最近は、出張中の仕事をこなすための
ラップトップコンピュータによる移動オフィス環境の整備が趣味。

- COP3, our team provided the
"conference on demand" service which is video on demand type of services
through WWW. I headed this team as a Director of this
